Norman windows at the top of the tower

Stunning original Saxon arch

Wall at the end of the nave ... Saxon arch and triangular window.

Section of the Bayeux Tapestry showing the church

12th century trefoil-headed piscina which has a hollow column forming the drain

Saxon triangular headed piscina

an unusual double piscina

This is a crusaders chest ... amazing

Good stuff - the Brochs are fascinating things - they look like they should not stand at all. It was communal living certainly.
The history in Scotland is simply awesome - you are very lucky

Very nice - looks like a great castle. The timber structures on top of the stonework you do not see a lot. Robert the Bruce connection is good - a small world

Warm lighting in the church. A brave guy - with a horse leg? Did anyone ask the horse.
